2. Ms. N. Bordoloi, the learned Standing Counsel appears on behalf of the respondent No. 1 and Mr. S.S. Roy, the learned Government Advocate appears on behalf of the respondent Nos.

2 to 5 and accepts notice.

3. Extra copies of the writ petition be served upon the respective counsels by 17.02.2026.

4. The case of the petitioners herein is that the petitioner No. 1 is the owner of a plot of land admeasuring 1 Katha covered by Dag No. 146 of K.P. Patta No. 21 of Village Panikhaity under Mouza Beltola, Chandrapur Revenue Circle in the district of Kamrup (Metro), Assam. A demarcation dispute has arisen in respect to Dag No. 145 of K.P. Patta No. 4 of Panikhaity Village under Beltola Mouza. However, the respondent No. 3 passed an order on 12.01.2026 directing that until the demarcation is completed, the construction of the concrete wall being carried out by the petitioners in their land shall remain stopped. It is under such circumstances, the petitioners have approached this Court.

5. The Respondent Authorities shall apprise this Court on the next date by way of instructions, as to whether, the demarcation in respect to Dag No. 145 of K.P. Patta No. 4 of Village Panikhaity under Beltola Mouza has been completed and if not, when the same is likely to be completed.

6. The respondents further shall also provide instructions regarding the necessity for issuance of the order dated

12.01.2026 by the respondent No. 3.
