Heard Mr. R. Boruah, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr. S. Dutta, learned Standing Counsel, Revenue and Disaster Management Department for the respondent no. 1; Ms. P. Siyei, learned counsel on behalf of Mr. R.M. Das, learned Standing Counsel, Water Resources Department for the respondent nos. 2, 3 & 4; and Mr. S.R. Baruah, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent no. 5 & 6.
The petitioner has stated on the basis of a Work Order dated 24.09.1019, he executed a Contract-Work under the Scheme, ‘Immediate Measures for Protection of Ahotguri Area near Sesuguri and Protection of a Road Cum Bund under S.D.R.F. for 2017-18 [Sub-Estimate]’. The duly executed.
The petitioner has approached this Court seeking direction to the respondent authorities to disburse an amount of Rs. 9,51,687/-, that is, the total bill amount the
Issue notice, returnable on 27.04.2026.
As Mr. Dutta, learned Standing Counsel, Revenue and Disaster Management Department Standing Counsel has appeared and accepted notices for the respondent no. 5 & 6, formal notices need not be issued to the said respondents.
Mr. Boruah, learned counsel for the petitioner shall furnish requisite nos. of extra copies of the writ petition along with the annexures, to Mr. Dutta, Ms. Siyei and Mr. Baruah, within 2 [two] working days from today.
