2. Mr. S. Dutta, learned Standing Counsel, Revenue & Disaster Management Department, submits that on a rectified proposal with regard to the authorization of ex-gratia amount of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs) to the Next of Kin of late Papu Borah, who had died on account of an accident in a public place, being received from the District Magistrate, Dima Hasao, the Revenue & Disaster Management Department, has released budget allotment for an amount of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs) to the concerned DDO on 18.03.2026. The said amount is for the payment of ex-gratia to the Next of Kin of late Papu Borah. The petitioner, herein, is projected as the person in whose favour the said authorization has been
made.
3. Mr. S. Dutta, submits that the said amount has already been received by the jurisdictional Treasury Officer and the amount would be credited, in the account of the
petitioner, herein, if not already credited within a period of 15 (fifteen) days from today.
4. In view of the said developments taking place in the matter and the petitioner being authorized the ex-gratia amount claimed by her in the present writ petition, this Court finds that there is no further live issue arising for adjudication and accordingly the present writ
petition stands closed.
5. A copy of the instruction furnished by Mr. S. Dutta, is kept on record and marked as ‘X’
for the purpose of identification.
