Heard Mr. A. Mannaf, learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard Mr. R. Dhar, learned State counsel for the opposite party.

This is an application seeking impleadmnet of one Sri Debraj Paul Choudhury in the connected writ petition being WP(C) 535/2024 as respondent No.6.

The petitioner who was appointed as District Project Manager (DPO) in the Office of the District Commissioner, Cachar, Silchar on contractual basis on 11.10.2014 and whose services has been dispensed with, has challenged the advertisement dated 22.12.2023 inviting application for filing up

post of District Project Officer in the Officer of the District Commissioner, Cachar, Silchar.

It is submitted that during the pendency of the connected writ petition one Sri Debraj Paul Choudhury has been appointed as District Project Officer in the Office of the District Commissioner,

Cachar pursuant to the aforesaid advertisement.

The learned counsel for the applicant submits that the appointee Sri Debraj Paul Choudhury

would be a necessary party in the connected writ petition and therefore, he may be allowed to implead him as respondent No.6 in the connected writ petition.

Having considered that since the aforesaid advertisement is under challenge pursuant to which Sri Debraj Paul Choudhury has been selected and appointed as District Project Officer, the said person would be a necessary party to the connected writ petition. Thus, I am of the considered view that the

instant application is deserved to be allowed.

Accordingly, the Interlocutory Application is allowed by permitting the applicant to implead Sri Debraj Paul Choudhury as respondent No.6 in the connected writ petition.

I.A stands allowed and disposed of.
