Heard Mr. B Purkayastha, learned counsel for the petitioner.

By this application, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the

petitioner has prayed to consider her application to the post of Principal, which

according to the later advertisement made in the year 2024, she became

ineligible having crossed the age of 57 years for appointment to the said post. It

is the case of the petitioner that an advertisement was issued by the respondent

authorities for promotion to the vacant post of Principal of Mahur Higher

Secondary School, Dima Hasao, which according to the learned counsel for the

petitioner was an incorrect advertisement since the appointment to the post of

Principal of the Higher Secondary School is by way of direct recruitment.

Having realized their mistake, the respondent authorities in the Dima

Hasao issued another advertisement in the year 2024 for direct recruitment to

the post of Principal of the said Higher Secondary School, under which the

petitioner became ineligible in pursuance to the advertisement issued later.

Aggrieved, the petitioner has filed this writ petition to consider her to the

said post of Principal of the Higher Secondary School by condoning her age or

by issuing necessary corrigendum.

Issue notice of motion, returnable by 3 (three) weeks.
