ORDER

Date : 17.04.2026 The instant application under Article 226 of the Con-

stitution of India has been filed by the petitioner assailing the freezing of the bank account of his firm on instruction of the NIA in connection with NIA Case No.RC-10/2019/NIA/GUW pending before the Court of the Special Judge, NIA Dimapur.

Heard the learned counsel for thepetitioner Mr. Imti Longjem.

It is the case of the petitioner that the bank account of his firm was freezed by the NIA without following the due process as envisaged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention)

Act, 1967.

Issue notice returnable in 4(four) weeks.

The learned counsel for the petitioner states that no-

tice on respondent Nos. 1 to 4 has been served on the Standing counsel, NIA Mr. Sentiyanger however, the counsel is engaged in the NIA Court and could not appear today. However, since notice is accepted, no formal notice is called for. The petitioner shall serve extra copy of the petition to the learned counsel for the re-

spondents.

The petitioner shall also take steps for service of no-

tice on the respondent No.5 by speed post as well as usual process within 3(three) working days.

List the matter after 4(four) weeks.

Registry is directed to reflect the name of Mr. Sen-

tiyanger in the cause list as Special P.P. NIA for respondent Nos.

1 to 4.
