ORDER

1. By this writ application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the Petitioner has prayed for the following main reliefs:

“(B) Your Lordships may be pleased to issue the writ of mandamus and/or the writ in the nature of mandamus and/or any other writ, order or direction to the Respondent No.2 – Passport authority to renew the old passport (Passport No. W

1726705) of the applicant for a regular term of 10 years.”

2. Ms. Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the FIR has been lodged against the Petitioner under Sections 304(A) and 114 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Shahibaug Police Station, Ahmedabad.

She further submits that, the Petitioner has received a job from UK in Christie NHS Foundation Trust and documentation for visa of the Petitioner will have to be done by the said Trust from UK and the Petitioner needs his passport, which is going to be expired in June,

2023. Therefore, the Petitioner has applied for its renewal and appointment date being 22.02.2023 is allotted. Furthermore, the Petitioner has also applied for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) before the appropriate authority.
