ORAL ORDER

1. This is an application seeking quashment of the First Information Report being I-C.R. no. 33 of 2010 registered with Sahibaug Police Station, Ahmedabad for the offences punishable under sections 498 (A), 323, 506 (2) and 114 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 7 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 and under section 31 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, on 10.02.2010, on the ground that the parties have settled the dispute amicably.

2. This Court, on 23.01.2019, passed the following order:

“Investigating Officer shall remain present with the papers of investigation. He shall also get the statement of the respondent no.2 verified, as according to learned advocate Mr. Pradip Patel, she has already re-married.

Learned advocate also submits that qua rest of the in-laws, the compromise has arrived at and even between the parties, nothing survives. It is only inadvertently continues.

In the meantime, no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner.

Direct service today is permitted.”

3. Today, the report of the Police Sub Inspector, Sahibaug Police Station dated 05.02.2019 is brought on record, stating therein that the parties had compromise
