ORAL JUDGMENT

1. Petitioner in this petition has sought invocation of writ jurisdiction by urging the following prayers :

(A) To issue a writ of certiorari and/or writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing and setting aside the order dated 18th January, 1994 at Annexure 'A' to the petition passed by the respondent No. 3 herein and the order dated 10th August, 1998 at Annexure 'C' to the petition passed by the respondent No.2 herein and allow this Special Civil Application with costs ;

(B) To stay the operation of the order dated 18th January, 1994 at Annexure 'A' to the petition passed by the respondent No.3 herein and the order dated 10th August, 1998 at Annexure 'C' to the petition passed by the respondent No.2 herein during the pendency and final hearing of this Special Civil Application.

(C) To pass such other and further orders as the nature of the case may require.

3. Petitioner owns agricultural land, bearing Survey Nos. 260, 261, 666, 667 and 693, admeasuring 24 acres 14 gunthas. An application was made to the Collector, Rajkot for converting this land into non-agriculture land.
