1. We have heard learned counsel Mr.Nirad Buch for the applicant, Mr.Kshitij Amin, learned Standing Counsel for Regional Passport Authority, Ahmedabad, Mr.L.B. Dabhi, learned APP for the respondent – State and Mr.Rakshit Dholakiya, learned advocate appearing for the private respondent.

2. The applicant has been prosecuted and convicted for the offences punishable under Section 302 read with Section 114 of the IPC and under the provisions of the Atrocities Act . This Court has suspended the substantive sentence vide order dated 15.10.2018 and released the applicant on bail with a condition to surrender his passport before the Lower Court. He had complied with the conditions. The passport bearing No.AH307065179325 is expired and for the renewal as well as to travel abroad, the applicant moved an application by filing Special Civil Application No.1571 of 2025. Vide order dated 12.02.2025, the learned Single Judge of this Court directed the Regional Passport Officer to renew the passport for a period of 5 years in terms of the circular dated 10.10.2019 issued by Ministry of External Affairs.
