Respondent-Corporation has not accepted petitioner’s application seeking employment on compassionate grounds, hence this writ petition.

2. Petitioner’s father-late Sh. Jai Ram was serving as Mechanic in respondent-corporation. He died in harness on 03.05.2015. Petitioner applied for employment against the post of Clerk (Class-III) under the Kith & Kin Policy of the respondent in July 2015. Since the appointments under the Kith & Kin Policy were being made in respondent-corporation on the basis of seniority as per date of death keeping in view the vacancy available under the Policy against 5% of all direct vacancies in the calender year, petitioner’s case was kept under consideration. Since no post of Class-III category was available under the compassionate employment quota, the petitioner in the year 2022 submitted his written consent for compassionate appointment against Class-IV post on daily wage basis. His case was accordingly placed by the respondents before the Screening Committee on 30.03.2022.
