Notice. Mr. L.N. Sharma, learned Additional Advocate General, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of respondents.

The case set up by the petitioner is that he is owner in possession of residential house situated at HKhata No.41 and Khatauni No.91, Village Upper Beri, P.O.Kothuan, Tehsil Sandhole, District Mandi, H.P. Due to heavy rainfall in July, 2025, the petitioner’s residential house suffered extensive damage on account of landslides. The matter was reported to the concerned authorities. Spot was inspected by the concerned Patwari on 14.09.2025, who reported landslides alongwith damage to the residential house due to heavy rain on 14.09.2025. Pardhan of concerned Gram Panchayat on 03.01.2026, sent a proposal to the Block Development OfÏcer, Dharampur, District Mandi for erecting permanent embankment/retaining wall for saving petitioner’s house from damage. Petitioner’s grievance is thaHt despite this, respondents are not taking any meaningful action in the matter. Petitioner’s representations enclosed as Annexure P-6 dated 24.02.2026 and 01.04.2026 have not received any response.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner would be satisfied in case respondent No.4/Competent Authority is directed to take appropriate call on the representations of the petitioner, as also the prohposal/ resolution passed by the concerned GramgPanchayat and also the report of Patwari for redressing the grievances of the petitioner in accordance with law.

Having regard to above submissions, but without examining the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.4/Competent Authority to take appropriate call upon the representations of the petitioner Annexure P-6, resolution dated 03.01.2026 passed by the Gram Panchayat (Annexure P-5), report of Patwari (Annexure P- 4) and also notification dated 13.10.2023 (Annexure P-3) within eight weeks in accordance with law. The decision be also communicated to the petitioner.

The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
