The petitioner has filed the present petition for seeking regular bail in FIR No. 101 of 2025, dated 12.08.2025, registered at Police Station Jawali, District Kangra, H.P., for the commission of offences punishable under Section 103 (1) read with Section 3(5) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
2. It has been asserted that as per the prosecution Manoj Kumar (deceased) had left for work on 11.08.2025 at about 5:00 p.m. Kanika, the daughter of the deceased went to Sahbo Ram, informant, the father of the deceased at about 8 – 8:15 p.m. and told him that she had received a call from her father, who was saying that some unknown persons were beating him and were threatening to run a vehicle over him. The informant went to Bhali Camp and made inquiries. He was told that no quarrel had taken place. He received a call from his daughter-in-law, Renu, who disclosed that Manoj Kumar was taken to the hospital in an injured condition. The informant went to the hospital and found that Manoj Kumar was referred to Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College and Hospital (RPGMC), Tanda.
