Order No.10 /Dated: 23rd September 2025 The instant writ application has been preferred by the petitioner for the following reliefs:

“ That through the instant writ application petitioner prays before this Hon'ble Court for issuance of an appropriate writ(s), order(s) or direction(s) commanding upon the respondents to give compassionate appointment to younger son of petitioner on account of deemed death of husband of petitioner in harness AND Further for direction upon respondents to pay death-cum-retiral dues including family pension along with statutory as well as penal interest to the petitioner on account of deemed death of husband of petitioner AND Further for direction upon respondents to pay salary of the deceased husband of petitioner for the period he rendered his services to respondent Jharkhand State Electricity Board after his transfer from Bihar State Electricity Board along with statutory as well as penal interest AND Further for direction upon respondents to pay arrear salary in pursuance of annual increments granted to the deceased husband of petitioner vide Annexure 3 to this writ application and to pay any other dues that may be payable to the petitioner AND/OR For any other appropriate relief(s) as Your Lordships may deem fit and proper in law and equity, under the facts and circumstances of the instant case.”

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that now the issue of compassionate appointment has become infructuous in view of the fact that the person for whom the compassionate appointment was sought for from the respondents is now no more.
