1. The present case in the nature of criminal contempt, has been instituted as Contempt (Crl.) Case No.01 of 2026, as per the direction of Hon’ble the Chief Justice and the case has been directed to be listed today, i.e., on 06.01.2026 under the heading for “Orders” before the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court comprising Hon’ble the Chief Justice and myself (Sujit Narayan Prasad, J.) by the order of Hon’ble the Chief Justice duly assigned by the Court Master of the Hon’ble Division Bench No.1 of this Court as contained at Flag ‘X’ of this paper book.

2. The case has been listed before the Hon’ble Division Bench No. I. Subsequently, a notice was issued to the effect that Contempt (Crl.) Case No.01/ 2026 has wrongly been listed before the Division Bench comprising Hon’ble the Chief Justice and myself (Sujit Narayan Prasad, J.) in the supplementary cause list dated 06.01.2026. Further, the Contempt (Crl.) Case No.01/ 2026 shall be heard by Regular Division Bench No. II comprising myself (Sujit Narayan Prasad, J.) and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Arun Kumar Rai in Court No.-3 today, i.e., on 06.01.2026, the content of the said notice dated 06.01.2026 is being referred hereunder as:

3. The present case has been listed before this Bench on the basis of the said notice published under the signature of Registrar (Judicial) (I/c) by the order of Hon’ble the Chief Justice on the administrative side.

4. The case has been heard.

5. The paper book comprising of 14 pages which contains the content of the letter written by one Pramod Kumar Singh, son of late Surajdeo Singh, Resident of Jawahar Nagar, PO-Bhurkunda Bazar, PS-Patratu, District- Ramgarh (Jharkhand) address as referred in the affidavit of the complaint which is a part of the paper book.

It has been informed to this Court that while taking cognizance for the purpose of alleged commission of contempt in the nature of criminal contempt, the Hon’ble the Chief Justice has taken into consideration the content of the letter dated 29.11.2025, 09.12.2025, the affidavit dated 08.12.2025 sent to the Chief Justice Secretariate of this Court as contained in the letter no.14303 dated 29.11.2025.

7. In addition thereto, the video clippings, fourteen in numbers, have also been taken cognizance which have been uploaded by the concerned, namely, Pramod Kumar Singh, on the Facebook/You Tube.

We have gone through the contents of the letter as a part of the paper book as also thought it proper to have the video clippings which have been uploaded on the Facebook, therefore, we have made an arrangement in the Court itself to witness it for which the help of the CPC personnel has been taken and they are directed to operate the said video clippings in the open Court so as to come to the conclusion of a prima facie case for the purpose of issuance of notice upon the concerned.

9. (i) The contents of the 1st Video Clipping:

We have seen the display of video clippings disclosing therein various incriminating words towards the Hon’ble Supreme Court, this Court (Jharkhand High Court) as also the derogatory words for the Hon’ble the Chief Justice including the Judicial Officers of sub-ordinate Court of this High Court posted on transfer from Ranchi judgeship to Ramgarh Judgeship before whom the criminal case instituted against Pramod Kumar Singh is lying pending.

11. One affidavit dated 08.12.2025 is also part of the record wherein the grievance has been raised that Pramod Kumar Singh has falsely been implicated in a criminal case but the offence is said to be committed under the NDPS Act, 1985.

12.The grievance is that he has been taken into custody however, subsequently he has been released on bail by the order passed by this Court.

13.Another grievance is that he has made an application under section 340 of the Cr.P.C for registering a case on the alleged ground of his false implication in the NDPS case. However, as would appear from the affidavit dated 08.12.2025, particularly,
