ORAL ORDER
This petition under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, is filed by the petitioners, Accused Nos. 2 and 5, seeking anticipatory bail in connection with an investigation for offenses punishable under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 118(1), 109, 189(2), 189(4), and 190 of the BNS, 2023.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned High Court Government Pleader (HCGP) for the State.
3. The prosecution alleges that on 24.11.2024, at about
12:30 a.m., while the complainant was near Madivala Market and heading toward a public toilet, Accused No. 1, Raghu @ Raghavendra, and others suddenly assaulted the complainant on the left side of his face. The complainant then informed Ranjit over the phone, and Ranjit, along with his friend Salman, arrived at the spot. At that point, Accused No. 1 and his 5 to 7 associates allegedly assaulted the complainant again.
4. The prosecution further alleges that Ranjit sustained injuries to his head and hand, while Salman was assaulted with clubs and iron rods, resulting in injuries to his head and back. The assaults were allegedly carried out with the intention to commit murder.
