ORDER
Both these petitions are preferred by the same petitioner calling in question a solitary Notification dated 25-07-2018 issued by the 2nd respondent with regard to minimum import price of Black Pepper in India.
2. Heard Sri P.N. Rajeswara, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Sri M.N.Kumar, learned Central Government Counsel appearing for respondents 1 and 2 and Sri Amit Anand Deshpande, learned counsel appearing for respondents 3 to 6.
3. For the sake of convenience, the facts obtaining in Writ Petition No.1329 of 2022, which are common in the companion petition are narrated.
4. The petitioner/Unik Traders claims to be in the trade of import and local sale of spices, condiments including Black Pepper inter alia. It is the averment in the petitions that the petitioner is in the said business for more than two decades and has an Import and Export Code granted by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and assessed to Income Tax and it is also registered with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India.
