ORAL ORDER

This petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 ('Cr.P.C.' for short).

2. A complaint is filed against the petitioner in C.C.No.2349/2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 323, 324, 354(B), 504 and 506 of the IPC. The case is registered before the Court of the learned Principal Civil Judge and JMFC at Magadi.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the parties have today filed I.A.No.2/2024 under Section 320 read with Section 482 of Cr.P.C., seeking permission to compound the offences.

4. It is stated by the petitioner and the second respondent that the dispute between them is amicably resolved and that the petitioner has agreed to pay a sum of `8,00,000/- to the second respondent/complainant in terms of the settlement arrived at between them. Out of the said sum of `8,00,000/-, a sum of `4,00,000/- is said to be paid to the second respondent on 29.10.2024 through OnLine account transfer. The second respondent admits the receipt of the said amount.

5. A sum of `2,00,000/- is said to have been paid today through account transfer and the second respondent has acknowledged the receipt of the said amount.
