The petitioner-accused No.2 is before this Court

seeking grant of anticipatory bail in Crime No.61/2022 of

Virajpet Town Police Station, registered for the offences

punishable under Sections 408, 417, 420, 465, 467 read

with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code (for short 'IPC'), on

the basis of the first information lodged by the informant-

D.I.Ejas.

Heard Sri. Rahul Cariappa.K.S., learned counsel

for the petitioner and Sri. Rahul Rai.K., learned High Court

Government Pleader for the respondent-State. Perused the

materials on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that

the petitioner is arrayed as accused No.2. He is innocent and

law-abiding citizen. He has not committed any offence as

alleged. He has been falsely implicated in the matter without

any basis. There is reasonable apprehension of being

arrested by the police. Hence, he is before this Court. He

was working as President of Coorg Muslim Credit Co-

operative Society Limited, Virajpet for some period. He has

not misappropriated any amount. An enquiry under Section

64 of the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959 (for

short ‘KCS Act’) is required to be undertaken. No such

enquiry was
