This appeal is filed by the appellants/claimants

seeking enhancement of compensation.

The brief facts of the case are that on

10.01.2016, at about 5.30 p.m., deceased Manjunath P.

was proceeding in a plat form No.19, Shuttle bus station

at Kempegowda Bus Station, Bengaluru, at that time,

BMTC bus bearing registration No.KA-57-F-164 came in a

reverse direction and dashed to deceased and caused his

death. Therefore, the claimants being the parents of the

deceased

have

filed

the

claim

petition,

seeking

compensation.

Heard the arguments of learned counsel for the

appellants and the learned counsel for the respondent-

Insurance Company and perused the records.

The Tribunal after considering the facts and

circumstances and evidence on record, has awarded

compensation of Rs.12,04,000/-, along with interest at the

rate of 8% per annum from the date of petition till the

date of realization.

Being aggrieved by the lesser quantum of

compensation, the present appeal is filed.

In the present case, the deceased was aged

about 25 years at the time of accident, working as a

supervisor in SLN Transports and earning a sum of
