JUDGMENT
Land bearing survey No.71/7 and 71/4 measuring 6 guntas and 11 guntas respectively situated at Kamanayakanahalli Village, Chinakurali Hobli, Pandavapura Taluk, Mandya District were proposed to be acquired for construction of Hemavathi Dam under the Notification issued under Section 4(1) of the Land Acquisition Act which culminated in passing the award by the Land Acquisition Officer fixing the market value at Rs.47,800/- per acre.
2. The reference Court enhanced the market value of the subject land at Rs.1,53,400/- against which an appeal was filed before the learned District Court. Learned District Court confirmed the award passed by the reference Court against which the present appeal is filed.
3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned HCGP for the State and perused the records.
