Heard learned Additional Government Advocate Sri.B.Ravindranath for petitioners and learned counsel Sri.Vijayakumar.V.B., for respondent No.1. Perused the entire writ petition papers.

2. The petitioners-State is before this Court questioning the order dated 04.01.2018 in Application No.3251/2014 on the file of the Karnataka State Administrative Tribunal at Bengaluru (for short, ‘Tribunal’) whereunder order dated 17.01.2014 entrusting the enquiry to the Karnataka Lokayukta in exercise of power under Rule 14-A of the Karnataka Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1957 is quashed with liberty to the State Government to take further action.

3. Learned counsel Sri.Vijayakumar.V.B., would submit that in exercise of liberty granted by the Tribunal, the State Government conducted enquiry and imposed punishment of withholding of pension to the extent of 5% for a period of five years.
