RAJIV GANDHI UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES – Respondent
The petitioners are before this Court seeking for the
following reliefs:
(a)
Issue a writ or order or direction in the
nature of mandamus directing the respondent
Nos.1 and 2 approve the admission of the
petitioner Nos.1 to 25, admitted to the BAMS
course for the academic year 2020-21 and declare
that they are entitled to continuation of their
studies by grant of approval of their admissions.
(b)
Issue such other writ order or directions as
may be deemed just and necessary in the interest
of justice.
The petitioner Nos.1 to 25 students have been
admitted to the petitioner No.26-Institution for the
academic year 2020-21. However, the information as
regards the admission was not sent to respondent
No.1 within the given timelines on account of COVID-
19 pandemic, as such, respondent No.1 has refused
to take into consideration the admission.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a
similar matter has been decided by this Court in
W.P.No.100529/2022 by directing the respondents to
take into consideration the belated filing by levying a
cost of Rs.5,000/- to the student.

In view thereof, I pass the following;
ORDER
(i)
A mandamus is issued to the respondent
Nos.1 and
