Petitioner a minor child represented by its guardian, is
knocking at the doors of Writ Court with the following main
prayers:

“i) The Petitioner prays this honorable court to
Issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other suitable
writ directing to formulate a workable guideline to
facilitate admission at Sainik School. By directing
the respondents with exception to the existing
modus of admission.
ii) The Petitioner prays this honorable court to
Issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other suitable
writ directing the Respondent principals of Sainik
School to provide admissions to Class 8 to the
Petitioner.”

After service of notice, the Respondent Nos.1, 2, 3
& 5 are represented by the learned ASG and Respondent
Nos.4 & 6 are represented by the learned AGA.

Regardless of the text & context of the pleadings,
the essential grievance of the petitioner appears to be denial of
admission to 8th Std in a particular school; learned ASG
appearing and learned AGA together submit that the child can
be admitted to 8th Std either in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose
Residential School or in Navodaya Vidyalaya, both in
Bangalore City in terms of “PM Cares for Children” scheme
and the guidelines promulgated t
