Seeking enhancement of the compensation awarded for

the death of one Jagadish Hegde in a motor vehicle accident,

his wife and mother have presented this appeal against the

judgment and award dated 30.08.2011 passed in MVC

Nos.1019/2010 & 1021/2010 by the Motor Accidents Claims

Tribunal, Dakshina Kannada at Mangalore & I Addl. District

Judge.

Brief facts are, on 24.05.2010 while one Jagadish

Hegde, the husband of claimant No.1 and son of claimant

No.2 was traveling in auto-rickshaw bearing registration

No.CRX 9872 from Hampanakatta to Ambedkar Circle, a bus

bearing registration No.KA 19 C 2002 came in a rash and

negligent manner and dashed against the auto-rickshaw and

on account of impact injuries, Jagadish Hegde died in the

hospital on the same day.

The claim petition was contested by respondent

Nos.1 and 2 herein by filing their written statements. During

the trial, claimant No.1 examined herself as PW1 and one

G.V.Srinivasa was examined as PW3, as Accounts Officer of

the employer under whom deceased was employed. Several

exhibits were marked including, among others, the charge
