KARNATAKA HIGH COURT
E.S.INDIRESH, J
MR. PUTTASWAMY – Appellant
Versus
THE STATE OF KARNATAKA – Respondent
WRIT PETITION NO. 6802 OF 2021 (KLR-RR/SUR)
For the Appellants/Petitioners: SRI. VICTOR MANOHARAN S.
For the Respondents: SMT. SAVITHRAMMA, AGA FOR R1 TO R6, SRI. R.C. NAGARAJ.
The court dismissed the petition as the underlying matter had already been resolved, confirming the need for finality in decisions.
Headnote:The petitioners challenged the order dated 04.02.2020 in Revenue Appeal No.441/2016 for a direction to dispose of R.A.No.72/2020 under Article 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India. The court noted that R.A.No.72/2019-2020 was disposed of on 13.02.2023, negating the need for further orders. The petition was dismissed. The legal issue was whether an existing appeal warranted further consideration. The court reasoned that since the matter was already decided, no further action was necessary. Hence, the petition was dismissed.
