1. None appears for the appellant.
2. The above-captioned appeal has been filed under Section 37 (1)(c) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ,[A&C Act] impugning a judgment dated 29.03.2023 passed by the learned Commercial Court [LXXXII Addl. City Civil & Sessions Judge, Bengaluru] in Com.A.P.No. 93 of 2022, captioned 'M/s. Add Value vs. M/s. Team Designs & Another" .
3. The said petition was filed by the respondent under Section 34 of the A&C Act, impugning an arbitral award dated 23.08.2022 [impugned award]. The learned Commercial Court had examined the said application and found that the impugned award was vitiated by patent illegality.
4. We note that the present appeal has been filed, after an inordinate delay of 641 days. The appellant has also filed an application I.A.No.1/2025, for seeking condonation of delay. The reasons for the delay are set out in paragraph no. 7 of the said application. The same is reproduced below:
