2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
4. Perusal of the material on record would go to show that the victim girl, aged 17 years 8 months was found missing from her house on 29.04.2025. The victim girl who had gone to her college had not returned home and her mobile phone was found switched off. Therefore, her father had approached the Police on 01.05.2025. During the course of investigation, petitioner and the victim girl were traced together on 01.05.2025 at Huligi village. Thereafter, petitioner was arrested on the same day and remanded to judicial custody. Statement of the victim girl was recorded under Section 183 of BNSS, 2023 by the Jurisdictional Magistrate on 08.05.2025. Victim girl has stated that she was being pestered by petitioner to love her.
