The Court directed the respondent to consider pending representations for regularization of services within a specified time frame despite inaction over three years.

ORAL ORDER

2. The brief facts of the case are that the petitioners were appointed in the respondent–Bank on a daily wage basis from the year 2015. They are continuing to work in the said posts to date, and their services have not been regularized. Accordingly, they have submitted representations vide Annexures-A, B, B1, and B2 dated 10.02.2022 and 12.03.2024. Since the said representations have not been considered even after a lapse of three years, the petitioners have approached this Court.

3. The learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that, despite the passage of more than three years, the representations have not been considered by the respondent–Bank.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that, if this Court grants a reasonable period of time, the representations submitted by the petitioners would be considered in accordance with law.

5. In view of the above, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representations submitted by the petitioners, vide Annexures-A, B, B1, and B2 dated 10.02.2022 and 12.03.2024, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and, in any event, not later than two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
