C.A.V. JUDGMENT

The present appeal arises from the Judgment of conviction and order on sentence dated 16.08.2018, passed by the I Additional District and Sessions Judge, Kodagu, Madikeri in S.C.No.56/2017, whereby the appellant-accused was convicted for the offence punishable under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code , 1860(for the short 'the IPC') and sentenced to undergo life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs.15,000/-.

3. PW.1 lodged a complaint with the police as per Ex.P1. Upon investigation, a charge sheet was filed against the accused for the offence punishable under Section 302 of the IPC.

5. Heard Smt. Budrunnisa, learned counsel for the appellant and Smt. R. Sowmya, High Court Government Pleader for respondent-State.
