ORAL ORDER

1. The petitioner has filed the present public interest petition, inter alia, praying as under:

"(a) ISSUE a Writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to take concrete steps for establishing Industrial Areas in the Aurad and Kamalanagar Talukas of Bidar District, by considering the representation dated 19-11-2024 made by the Petitioner vide Annexure-G (b) ISSUE such other writ or order or direction as this Hon'ble Court deems just and proper under the facts and circumstances of the case and allow this Writ Petition with exemplary costs, in the interest of justice and equity."

2. According to the petitioner, there is a dire need of establishing industrial areas in Aurad and Kamalanagar Talukas of Bidar District as they are industrially backward.

3. We do not consider it apposite to issue any directions with regard to the prayers made by the petitioner. The question whether any industrial area is to be established in a given taluk or district falls squarely within the discretion of the concerned authorities.

Such a decision is required to be made keeping in mind several factors, including the resources available with the State. We are unable to accept that it is apposite to grant any such writ or order or direction as sought for by the petitioner.

4. The petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
