ORAL ORDER

1. The petitioners are before this Court seeking for the following reliefs;

a. Call for the records;

b. Issue a writ of certiorari or any other appropriate writ or order/direction to set aside the impugned order dated 20.12.2022 passed by Respondent No.1 in Case No. SAAASAM.HASANA.OTTUVARI.64A-L-24/2021-22 vide Annexure-A;

c. Issue any other appropriate writ, orders, directions or such other suitable relief of reliefs as this Hon’ble Court deems fit to grant, in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interests of justice and equity.

2. The dispute in the present matter is between Horticulture department and Forest department. In terms of the Karnataka State Dispute Resolution Policy, 2021, inter-departmental dispute would have to be referred to a committee constituted by the Chief Secretary, Governor of Karnataka.

3. In that view of the matter, by directing the Chief Secretary to refer the dispute between these two departments to the said committee within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of copy of this order, the Writ Petition stands disposed.
