1. The petitioner has filed the present petition as a public interest litigation, inter alia, praying as under:-
"a) Issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction directing the Respondent No.1 (Union Government-Ministry of Consumer Affairs) to notify the new Rules governing the selection and appointment of Presidents and Members of the State and District Consumer Commissions, as mandated by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No.9982/2024 vide Annexure-J dated
21/05/2025.
b) Pass such other writ, order, or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the interest of justice and in the circumstances of the case."
2. Without going into the question whether this petition is required to be entertained, we dispose of the same recording the submission of the learned Additional Solicitor General that the Rules have been framed and placed before the Supreme Court.
