O R D E R

The de-facto complainant in Crime No.515/2023 of Thrikkunnapuzha Police Station has filed this Crl M.C. seeking to quash the proceedings initiated at her own instance. The short facts arising are as under:

2. An unidentified person trespassed into petitioner’s house at about 10.20 p.m. on 30.07.2023, and after assaulting the petitioner, forcibly took away the bangles and gold chain worn by her. On registration of crime, the police commenced investigation and started questioning the petitioner’s neighbors. Thereupon, the petitioner’s neighbors became enimical towards her. While so, the 7 sovereigns of gold ornaments, which were forcibly taken away from the petitioner’s possession, was found abandoned in the compound of her house. The petitioner, therefore, wants the further proceedings in the crime to be dropped, she having got back her ornaments and to avoid ill feeling among neighbors.

3. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.

4. Considering that the petitioner got back her ornaments and the suspect is yet to be identified, I am inclined to accept the prayer for quashment.

In the result, this Crl.M.C is allowed. Annexure A1 FIR and all proceedings in Crime No.515/2023 of Thrikkunnapuzha Police Station, are quashed.
