JUDGMENT
The petitioner has approached this Court aggrieved by the denial of her appointment as a Full-Time Menial (F.T.M) in the 6th respondent school. The approval was denied mainly because, as of the date of the order of appointment, the petitioner was over- aged.
2. The facts which are necessary for adjudication of the issues involved in this case are as follows:
The petitioner was initially appointed by the 5 th respondent as Office Attendant in St.Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Murickassery in a leave vacancy of one Chacko C.J. for the period from 01.10.2018 and she continued till 28.02.2019. Exhibit P1 is the certificate issued by the Manager in this regard. Thereafter, the 5 th respondent appointed the petitioner as Office Attendant in the 6 th respondent’s school against another leave vacancy of Smt. Elsy T.N. from 01.07.2019 on daily wages and she continued there till 24.03.2020. Her services were terminated as a consequence of the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. Exhibit P2 is the certificate issued by the Manager evidencing the same. However, the services covered by Exts.P1 and P2 were not approved by the authorities concerned.
