Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned counsel appearing for respondents 3 and 4 as well as the learned Government Pleader. Notice to the 5th respondent had been dispensed with by this Court.
2. The contention in the writ petition was that the mother of the petitioner, that is, Smt.Sudha, aged 52 years, wife of A.N. Ravikumar was being kept under illegal confinement by the 3rd respondent who is the brother of the petitioner and his wife, the 4th respondent. It is contended that the 3rd respondent has been insisting for transferring the property to his name and had been ill-treating the mother to induce her to do so. It is stated that the mother has transferred her right over the property to the 3rd respondent on the basis of the inducement made by the 3rd respondent. It is further contended that the 3rd respondent has been injecting some poisonous substance and the life of the mother itself is in peril. It is further contended that the petitioner's mother is admitted at the Josco Super Speciality Hospital, Edappon, Pandalam and is kept under illegal detention there and is being administered medicines to
