[MACA Nos.1464/2016 and 1808/2016]
Both these appeals arise from an award passed in O.P.(MV). No.1555 of 2013 passed by the Principal Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Kozhikode. M.A.C.A.No.1464 of 2016 is filed by the claimant in the said petition, whereas M.A.C.A.No.1808 of 2016 is filed by the 3rd respondent/Insurer of the vehicle involved in the accident (for convenience, the parties in this appeal are hereinafter referred to on the basis of their respective ranks in the claim petition).
