This Transfer Petition is filed by the wife for transferring O.P.(Div.) No.909 of 2019 pending before the Family Court, Ernakulam to the Family Court, Pala.

2. Due to the matrimonial cruelty, the petitioner was forced to leave the home of the respondent. She submits that she is an unemployed lady and not able to maintain herself. Her father is suffering from old age ailments and cannot do any work. There is nobody to accompany her to the Family Court, Ernakulam, which is around 90 km away from her residence. The respondent has filed a counter affidavit, which shows that he is represented by a power of attorney holder. He also contended that the petitioner is now doing Ph.D. in Karunya University, Coimbatore, which is more than the travel distance to Ernakulam and she is frequently travelling around 250 km from her residence for education purpose and hence, the contention that she is not able to travel around 90 km. to the Family Court, Ernakulam, is not correct. Moreover, the respondent has filed O.P.(F.C.) No.443 of 2020 before this court seeking for speedy disposal of the case O.P. No.909 of 2019 and connected cases pending before the
