RPFC No.138 of 2024 and RPFC No.79 of 2024 are the two revisions preferred by the wife on one side and the husband on the other side respectively challenging the order of maintenance granted to the wife by the Family Court. An amount of Rs.6,000/- was ordered from the date of petition till the date of order and thereafter at the rate of Rs.7,500/- per month to the minor daughter and to the wife at the rate of Rs.10,500/- from the date of petition till the date of order and thereafter at the rate of Rs.12,000/- per month. It is inter alia submitted across the Bar that the respondent/husband was working abroad during the relevant time as a Commissioning Engineer in oil field and was getting in and around Rs.5,00,000/- per month. By the time when evidence was taken he came back to his native place. Thereafter, he rejoined to the service and now he is getting an amount of in and around Rs.5,00,000/- per month. Necessarily, the amount which can be granted by way of maintenance to the wife and the child should reflect a proper balance between their entitlement and income of husband/father.
