This petition has been filed under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure , 1973 to quash Annexure-16, order of taking cognizance in C.M.P.No.280/2023 dated 01.06.2023 and Annexure-1 compliant in CC No.823/2023 on the files of Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-I, Kasaragod.

2. First petitioner is the petitioner in OP No.812/2022 filed before Family Court, Kannur, and the 2^nd petitioner is the father of the 1^st petitioner.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel appearing for the 1^st respondent and the learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the 2^nd respondent.

4. Tracing the genesis of the prosecution case, Annexure-A1 complaint was filed by the 1^st respondent herein / 2^nd respondent in the divorce OP, alleging that the petitioners herein committed offences punishable under Sections 500 , 501, 502 of the Indian Penal Code , 1860 (for short 'the IPC ').
