Versus
THE C.B.S.E. – Respondent
J U D G M E N T
Petitioner's daughter was a student of the school of which the 3rd respondent is the Principal. The school is affiliated to the 1st respondent. According to the petitioner, her daughter's date of birth has been wrongly entered in the school records. It is stated that seeking correction of the said mistake, she made Ext.P3 application to the 1st respondent. Orders were not passed on the application and therefore the writ petition is filed.
2. Standing counsel appearing for respondents 1 and 2 point out that if the petitioner wants to seek correction of date of birth, in terms of the Regulations governing the same, the application should be made to the school concerned and it is for the school authorities to forward the application with their remarks to the 2nd respondent.
3. In that view of the matter, all that is required is that the petitioner should make an appropriate application to the 3rd respondent and it is for the 3rd respondent to deal with the same in the manner as suggested above.
