JUDGMENT

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking the following prayers:

i) To issue a writ of mandamus or any appropriate writ or direction directing the 2nd respondent to receive basic tax from the petitioner for the property covered by Ext.P1 for an extent of 105 cents, after deducting the tax applicable to the portion which was transferred by her;

ii) To issue a writ of mandamus or any appropriate writ or direction directing the 4th respondent to consider and take decision on Ext.P3 representation at the earliest within a time frame;

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is the owner in possession of land of one acre and 5 cents of property in Sy.No.449/503/3 of Vadakkumthala Village of Karunagappally Taluk. It is stated that mutation had been effected in respect of a property on the strength of Ext.P1 and the petitioner had been paying basic tax. However, the basic tax was not accepted from the petitioner thereafter. The petitioner had approached the District Collector preferring Ext.P3 representation.
