Versus
CHEMMARADATHU MOHANAN – Respondent
J U D G M E N T
On the strength of an assignment deed obtained by the petitioners, they have effected mutation in respect of the property covered by the assignment deed and obtained location sketch and possession certificate in respect of the property. It is seen that the third respondent has, thereupon, issued a communication to the fourth respondent, the Village Officer concerned, stating that Ext.P2 assignment deed is an invalid document and as such, the Village Officer ought not have accepted the tax in respect of the property and issued possession certificate and location sketch to the petitioners. The said communication has been issued by the third respondent on a complaint preferred by the fifth respondent. On the strength of the said communication, the fourth respondent revoked the tax receipt, possession certificate and location sketch issued to the petitioners, as per Ext.P3 communication. Ext.P3 is under challenge in this writ petition.
