J U D G M E N T

Dated this the 08^th day of January, 2024 The petitioner, a contractor, has been awarded the work for the construction of Thadiyambadu Community Hall in Vazhathoppu Grama Panchayath. The petitioner has submitted a part bill for an amount of Rs.5 lakh for the work already done.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the amount covered by the part bill is not so far disbursed in spite of Ext.P3 representation submitted by him.

3. When the writ petition came up for consideration today, the limited prayer of the petitioner is for a disposal of Ext.P3 representation by the 2^nd respondent.

4. Heard the learned Standing Counsel for the Panchayath also.

In the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions made across the Bar, there will be a direction to the 2^nd respondent to dispose of Ext.P2 representation after hearing the petitioner and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within one month from the date of receipt of copy of this judgment.

Writ petition is disposed of.
