JUDGMENT (Dated: 14^th February, 2024)

The petitioner has approached this court seeking the following reliefs:

i. To sue a writ of mandamus or such other writ or order or direction directing the respondents 1 to 3 to reckon the 7 years of service of the petitioner as detapartment nominee during the period 1-7-1982 to 27.10.1989 for his grade pay and further pay fixation, ii. To issue a writ of mandamus or such other writ or order directing the respondents to count the 7 years of service of the petitioner as detapartment nominee during the period 1-7-1982 to 27.10.1989 along with the regular service of 27 years in the Kazakaka Lavanam and fix his pensionary benefits accordingly, iii. To issue a writ of Mandamus or appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondents to sanction the retirement benefit of the petitioner reckoning 37 years of service and to sanction the full Pension and disburse the same within a time limit, and iv. To pass such other reliefs as this Hon'ble Court may deem just and proper in the circumstances of the case.

Learned standing counsel for the respondents has made available an order dated 24.01.2024 of the Devaswom Accounts Officer of the Travancore Devaswom Board, by which the amounts due to the petitioner have been quantified and are also directed to be paid.

Therefore, in view of the order dated 24.01.2024, there will be a direction to the respondents to pay the amounts due to the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment.
