The present Writ Petitions have been filed by the Cable TV Operators claiming the benefit of the decision taken by the Government in B.O (DB) No.514/2021 (D(D&IT)/D5/Cable-Poles/2021-22/0001) dated 5.7.2021 and Government order issued on 08.07.2021 in G.O (Ms) No.14/2021/Power.
2. The learned Counsel for the petitioners submit that the invoices issued for rent of the electricity poles by the Electricity Board which are impugned in the Writ Petitions are not in accordance with the Government’s own decision taken in B.O (DB) No.514/2021 (D(D&IT)/D5/Cable-Poles/2021-22/0001) referred to above and the Government Order dated 08- 07-2021. The learned Counsel for the petitioners submit that they would confine their prayer towards the writ of mandamus to the respondents to issue invoices in accordance with the decisiW.P.(C) Nos.38259 of 2023 & Connected caseson of the Government in B.O (DB) No.514/2021 (D(D&IT)/D5/Cable-Poles/ 2021-22/0001) and the Go
