The applications are filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (in short, ' BNSS '), by the accused Nos.1 to 4 in the below mentioned crimes for allegedly committing the offences punishable under Sections 406 , 409 and 420 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code (in short, ' IPC ') and Section 4 of the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes Act, 2019 . In B.A.Nos.6763 & 6759/2024, the petitioners are also alleged to have committed the offences under Section 5 of the Kerala Protection of Interests of Depositors in Financial Establishment Act, 2013 , in addition to the above mentioned offences. The petitioners were originally arrested in Crime No.644/2024 of the Thiruvalla Police Station on 07.05.2024.
