JUDGMENT

The report of the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority reveals that the petitioner’s mother Smt.Savithri is living in her house under constant tension and insecurity. According to Smt.Savithri, she is being continuously harassed by the petitioner and her husband, demanding transfer of ownership of the house and property to their names. The report also reveals that Smt.Savithri has obtained a protection order under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.

In such circumstances, there cannot be any order of police protection in the petitioner’s favour. On the other hand, if any complaint of harassment is raised by Smt.Savithri, the police should intervene and do the needful immediately.
