JUDGMENT

The petitioners are the former students of BHM Degree course in the 4^th respondent college. The grievance of the petitioners is that, on publishing the final year results, the petitioners along with 40 other students were declared failed due to insufficient internal marks, even though they have obtained requisite internal mark for the three years without any backlogs. According to them there were certain discrepancies in the awarding of internal marks. In such circumstances, the petitioners along with the Principal of the 5^th respondent college submitted a representation before the authorities concerned including the Board of Adjudication for Students' Grievances. Consequently, as per Ext.P7 dated 31.08.2024, a report of the Principal has been sought for proceeding with the matter further. The case of the petitioner is that, the said proceedings have not been finalized so far.

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Standing Counsel for the University and the learned counsel appearing for the college, I am of the view that, a proceedings which is now pending before the BASG Inquiry Committee has to be completed within a time frame. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the University to ensure that the inquiry now pending with the Board of Adjudication for Students' Grievances, is completed and appropriate decision be communicated to the petitioners within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
