(Dated: 18th June, 2024) The petitioner’s father was in the service of the 1st respondent and died in service on 09.07.2017, leaving his widow Kanjana Raju, and two children including the petitioner. The petitioner submitted the compassionate application for appointment before the 1st respondent. A letter was also produced by which the other claimant expressed their willingness to allow the petitioner to be appointed under the dying harness scheme. Ext.P4 is the disclaimer executed by the petitioner’s mother and sister. The petitioner is a degree holder in B.Tech from Mahatma Gandhi University. Acting upon the application as well as the documents, Ext.P9 communication was issued on 18.07.2018 by the Secretary of the Devaswom Board, in which it is stated that taking into consideration the aspects, the Board has taken a decision to include the petitioner’s name in the list for appointment under the compassionate scheme.
